Join two of Columbus's favorite local bands, Karate Coyote and Way Yes, for a night of rocking fun to help get out the vote against Issue 2!
Way Yes - "Sometimes good music comes from odd places. If you were to go looking for smart, playful Afro-pop with a modern twist, you wouldnt necessarily go looking in central Ohio. Youd also miss out on Way Yes.
The band Way Yes formed in early 2010 in Columbus, Ohio by longtime friends and musical collaborators Travis Hall and Glenn Davis. With the addition of multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer Max Lewis, Way Yes became a trio. A busy one at that. Last year the band released two EPs: Herringbone and Walkability.
On October 18, Way Yes releases the single Oranjudio. Its a joyous, punched up by driving Afro-latin rhythms, whimsical guitar lines and dreamy electronic touches. Youll never think of Ohio the same way again."
Karate Coyote - Since their foundation in 2007, Karate Coyote have done what many bands strive to do and fail, they have created a signature sound. It's a sound that reflects the anxieties and talents of the artistic community that gave birth to them. Karate Coyote is continuing to connect with other communities and provide their dedicated coyote-mask-wearing fans an escape to a fun, engaging and intriguing musical experience. Music that will defy genres and speak to the audiences of all ages trying to sort out their lives."
